The Decal is a useful tool to add graphics to walls without requiring a custom texture. See Decals for more information on importing custom images as decals.

A decal takes one argument, which is the ID defined in the DECALDEF lump. The angle must be set to face away from the wall and the Z-height must be set appropriately for the intended use. If the decal ID is greater than 255, and the map is in the Hexen format which does not permit arg values greater than that, the second argument can be used for the high byte.
