Working notes

Here is of popular astronomy software suites and packages we would like to see maintained in Gentoo. Contact us if you would like to work on them.

  • IRAF: turn into non-interactive, create shared libraries, eclass for subpackages.
  • ESO-MIDAS: turn into non-interactive, install data, and subpackages.
  • Starlink: unbundle libraries, possibly package split.
  • CASA: unbundle libraries (some of them already in Gentoo).
